| Photography is my passion that I enjoy sharing with others. Back in 2004, I purchased my first Nikon DSLR and have been in love with it ever since. Before that I never really gave any thought to my photos. Now I consider things like lighting, composition, and what mood I'm trying to set. The same attention to detail of the final product that I used to put into my graphic art, I now apply to my photos. I think the results speak for themselves. I am on a bit of a hiatus from deviantArt due to many factors. The primary one being that I don't have the time to be online anymore that I once had. Summer is here and that means more outdoor activities with my family. Also, I'm showing more of my work these days and selling more. A couple of local galleries now have my photos up as a featured artists and while I still have no intention of ever doing this full-on professionally it's nice to have the validation of people willing to pay a good amount of money for your photos. Once the weather starts to turn cold, I will be back, hope you guys have a great summer and I'll be checking the galleries of those who watch me (and commenting/faving) at least once every couple of weeks or so... so watch out for me! What I Like (AKA what I fave or go OOOO over): -Nature -Landscapes -Waterscapes -Macros (true macros not cropped close ups) -B&W people shots -Nightshots (I'm a sucker for a lit up city) -Photos that show some thought went into it. What I Dislike: -HDR -Over processing of photos -Overuse of filters or in camera "tricks" -Blood, carcasses, etc (no more shots of dead birds!) -Snap shots (this is not My Space or Facebook! |
