This photo was taken on November 5th, 2007. Noticed how orange/red the sky was and waited till it got to just the right point behind the ships to take the photo.

Great shot.. there is an old saying that says that if the sky is so red a sailor is going to die that night ... i hope everything was ok that night

It was the night a battle group headed out on deployment. I've never heard that saying before but oddly enough, a plane went down a few days later and all three on board died (they were practicing landings and missed the flight deck).

Thank you, its one of my personal favorites because of they symbolism and meaning behind it.
